Negotion

Negotions started in 2017 imeditaly after the uk had triggered article 50 Treaty on European Union. That's a two year deadline for the UK to leave the EU. There were 3 main point.

Financial settlement: this is the money the UK agreed to pay the EU after leaving. The money was for things UK had already promised to pay when they were a member and was about 30,2 billion.

Citizen rights: is agreement that people that were already live in the UK or EU before Brexit could continue with their lives same way as before even after the UK left the EU.

Northern Ireland Protocol: is agreement to keep the border pin between northern Ireland and Ireland peaceful and northern Ireland could follow the EU rules on trade. This helped traits across Ireland and Northern Ireland to move freely.

Trade and Cooperation Agreement: is a deal about treading that manly is about they still trade with each other without access, both can still fish in each waters, the UK and the EU work together in security and justice cooperation. The main point is that the UK and the EU no longer politically or economically integrated but they still cooperate and trade under the similar agreement.

Oficial leaving

The Withdrawal Agreement is a legally binding treaty between the United Kingdom and the European Union. It sets out the main terms of the UK’s exit from the EU. It includes key areas such as citizens’ rights, the financial settlement, and the Northern Ireland Protocol. It also provided for a transition period after the UK officially left the EU. The Withdrawal Agreement was signed on 24 January 2020 and came into effect on 31 January 2020, when the UK officially left the European Union.

The Trade and Cooperation Agreement was established after Brexit but is still a important part about the UK leaving EU . It is an agreement that allows the UK and EU to continue trading with each other without tariffs, although with more rules and restrictions than before. It also allows both sides to continue fishing in each other’s waters under agreed limits, and to cooperate on security and justice issues. The main point of the agreement is that the UK and EU are no longer politically or economically integrated, but they still work together and trade under this new arrangement.

Aftermath of Brexit

Even though many people think that Brexit has had a positive impact on the EU, most people would say otherwise. Many thought that Brexit would have a positive impact on the economy, but most evidence shows the opposite. The UK has performed worse compared to the US and EU countries, with slower economic growth. The cost of living has increased significantly, and this is partly linked to Brexit. Many people claimed that Brexit would bring more money into public services, but this has not happened, and the money that Boris Johnson said could go to the NHS has not clearly materialised. Instead, the NHS is facing staff shortages and supply issues, partly due to a reduction in EU workers. People also thought that immigration would decrease, but the opposite has happened, as immigration has increased significantly after Brexit.

Overall, the evidence suggests that Brexit has not delivered many of the promised benefits and has instead created several economic and social challenges for the UK.
